The UFC handed out six post-fight bonuses after Saturday’s card – one to each fighter who got a stoppage win.
After UFC Fight Night 220, six fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances in Las Vegas. Check out the winners below.
Performance of the Night: Jordan Leavitt
Jordan Leavitt def. Victor Martinez via knockout (knees, punches) – Round 1, 2:33
Jordan Leavitt (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) did something he’s never done before: He stopped an opponent with strikes. Victor Martinez (13-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC) was on the receiving end of just the second knockout of Leavitt’s career. The first came with a 20-second slam, so Leavitt was elated on the microphone after his win with the new feeling of what it’s like to put someone out a different way.
Performance of the Night: Trevor Peek
Trevor Peek def. Erick Gonzalez via knockout (punches) – Round 1, 4:59
Trevor Peek (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) closed out his first round against Erick Gonzalez (14-8 MMA, 0-3 UFC) like he was late for an appointment. Late in the round, he punished Gonzalez over and over and finally, mercifully for Gonzalez, got the finish with one second left in the round. It frankly could have come much sooner.
